Job summary

BHP Group is seeking a Site Systems Specialist for Peak Downs Mine (BMA) to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This fixed-term maternity leave role runs on a Monday to Friday roster at Peak Downs.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, drive system use enhancements, and deliver training while building strong relationships across site teams. Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems, this role emphasizes continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Document Management Processes.
• Experience in Risk Management and governance of Safety Health Management Systems.
• Understanding of Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
• Ability to balance business needs with practical solutions.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for engagement at all levels.
• Ability to analyse data and conduct audits.
• Confidence with public speaking and facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and govern requirements for the site's Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
• Provide technical support in Mine Record and Document Management.
• Facilitate Risk Assessments and support to develop Site SHMS Documents.
• Assist Risk and Control Owners to execute their responsibilities in alignment with Global Standards.
• Design, deliver and evaluate training programs using various instructional techniques and technologies.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
