Job summary

Linde is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead and oversee operations at the Altona plant and Geelong ASU, with on-site responsibilities across facilities in VIC. The role focuses on safety, compliance, production planning, and coordinating contractors, while supporting emergency response and on-call duties.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage permits, and ensure timely deliveries while mentoring a skilled operations team in a robust industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial gas production, petrochemical or refinery operations.
• Experience supervising teams and coordinating contractors.
• Strong knowledge of process safety and permit-to-work systems.
• Ability to manage production planning and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day plant operations including supervision of loading/unloading and LPG transfers.
• Maintain a safe workplace following Linde Life Saving Rules and Major Hazard Facility requirements.
• Supervise employees and contractors to meet production and safety standards.
• Manage operations, production planning, shutdowns, start-ups and emergencies.
• Issue work permits and oversee safe work practices.
• Act as Emergency Warden and coordinate evacuations.
• Ensure timely deliveries; manage stock control and chemical handling.
• Prepare daily production reports and coordinate transport documentation.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement and risk management.
