Job summary

Linde plc in Melbourne is seeking a Site Supervisor – Onsite VIC to lead daily plant operations at Altona and Geelong ASU facilities. The role involves supervising loading, LPG transfers, and coordinating safety-focused teams while ensuring compliance and efficient production.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial gas or related sectors, strong leadership, and experience with risk management and permit-to-work systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in industrial gas production, petrochemical or refinery operations.
• Supervisory experience in plant operations and maintenance coordination.
• Strong knowledge of process safety, risk management and permit-to-work systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to participate in on-call roster and after-hours support.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a utility vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day plant operations with supervision of loading, unloading and LPG transfers.
• Maintain a safe workplace by applying Linde Life Saving Rules and Major Hazard Facility requirements.
• Coordinate employees and contractors to meet production and safety standards.
• Manage production planning, start-ups, shutdowns and emergency response activities.
• Issue work permits and ensure safe work practices and compliance.
• Act as Emergency Warden and coordinate evacuation drills and responses.
