Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Site Supervisor to support the delivery of construction and telecommunications projects across the nbn program. Based from Beresfield, Newcastle with regular travel across regional NSW, you will work with field crews, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure works are safe, efficient and compliant.

You will inspect sites, coordinate crews, assess defects, support scoping, monitor underground services, and maintain records while providing buildability advice and reporting

Qualifications

• Experience in telecom or civil construction projects.
• Ability to lead crews and subcontractors on site.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Site Supervisor, you will play a key role supporting the delivery of construction and telecommunications infrastructure projects across the nbn program. Working closely with field crews, subcontractors and stakeholders, you'll ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. Additionally, you'll:

• Conduct site inspections and verify works against approved construction plans
• Coordinate subcontractors and field delivery crews across multiple project locations
• Assess completed works and identify defects, quality issues or construction risks
• Support scoping activities and provide practical buildability advice
• Monitor underground services, site constraints and construction requirements
• Maintain project records and communicate progress to internal stakeholders and project teams

About You

• Experience within telecommunications, civil construction or infrastructure projects
• Previous experience leading crews, subcontractors or field-based teams
• Ability to read, interpret and assess construction drawings and plans
• Strong understanding of underground utilities, assets and construction methodologies
• Confident using computers, project systems and reporting tools
• Practical experience with civil works, drilling, trenching or utility infrastructure construction
