Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Site Supervisor to support the delivery of our nbn infrastructure program, based in Beresfield, Newcastle, with regular travel across regional NSW. This is a hands-on construction role within a high-performing team.

You will work closely with field crews, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. You’ll read drawings, coordinate crews, and monitor underground services and construction requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications, civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• Previous leadership of crews, subcontractors or field teams.
• Ability to read, interpret and assess construction drawings and plans.
• Strong understanding of underground utilities and construction methodologies.
• Comfort with project systems and reporting tools.
• Practical experience with civil works, drilling, trenching or utility construction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and verify works against approved construction plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors and field delivery crews across multiple locations.
• Assess completed works and identify defects, quality issues or construction risks.
• Support scoping activities with practical buildability advice.
• Monitor underground services, site constraints and construction requirements.
• Maintain project records and communicate progress to stakeholders.

About The Role

As a Site Supervisor, you will play a key role supporting the delivery of construction and telecommunications infrastructure projects across the nbn program. Working closely with field crews, subcontractors and stakeholders, you'll ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Additionally, you'll:

• Conduct site inspections and verify works against approved construction plans
• Coordinate subcontractors and field delivery crews across multiple project locations

About You

• Experience within telecommunications, civil construction or infrastructure projects
• Previous experience leading crews, subcontractors or field-based teams
• Ability to read, interpret and assess construction drawings and plans
• Strong understanding of underground utilities, assets and construction methodologies
• Confident using computers, project systems and reporting tools
• Practical experience with civil works, drilling, trenching or utility infrastructure construction
