Job summary

Communify Queensland is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead a cohort of up to 11 trainees in an 18-week paid construction traineeship under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program. You will supervise practical construction tasks, transport trainees and materials between facilities and worksites, and support trainees’ development and employability.

Ideal applicants have construction experience, a relevant qualification, a current White Card and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• Two years' construction experience or more preferred.
• Certificate III or higher in construction; White Card.
• Current Queensland Blue Card or ability to obtain before starting.
• Current unrestricted driver licence and ability to tow a trailer.
• Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
• Experience supervising trainees or entry-level workers.

Responsibilities

• Lead up to 11 construction trainees daily.
• Develop daily/weekly plans with partners.
• Assign tasks based on trainee abilities and priorities.
• Provide instruction, demonstrations and feedback.
• Ensure safety and WHS compliance on worksites.
• Coordinate tools, equipment and transport between sites.
• Report issues and maintain records and documentation.
