Job summary

SkillCentred offers a number of traineeship positions for individuals looking to gain experience in the construction industry. This is a full-time traineeship with a 9 day fortnight, spanning 19 weeks.

Applicants should be prepared to provide date of birth and address, and must be at least 15 years old and no longer be enrolled in school. Pay rates follow the National Training Wage Award and are calculated based on your highest school level completed and time out of school.

• Must be 15 years of age or older.
• Must provide date of birth and address.
• Not currently enrolled or attending school.

Responsibilities

• Gain Experience in the construction industry through a traineeship.
• Complete a Certificate I in Construction during the program.
• Participate in community-based construction projects with on-the-job training.

Full-time traineeship

Pay rates arein accordance with the National Training Wage Award and is calculated on your highest school level completed and the number of years you've been out of school.

Each trainee will be involved in community-based construction projects and will have the opportunity to gaina Certificate I in Construction qualification including white card.This qualification is a pathway to an apprenticeship in carpentry and associated trades.
