Job description

As a Site Inspector, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of Council contractors and service providers, ensuring all work is delivered in line with contract specifications and WH&S obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities on-site, maintaining accurate records, photographic documentation and daily progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with contract specifications and the NSW WHS Act and Regulation, with authority to stop non-compliant works.
• Investigate customer requests and provide technical advice on capital or rehabilitation projects, particularly roads and drainage.

What you need

• You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and wider Streetscape team, with direct lines into Infrastructure Planning when bigger issues need escalating.
• Certificate IV in Civil Construction, or relevant qualifications.
• Extensive hands-on experience in civil construction, including roads and drainage systems.
