Job summary

Atom Resources on a $2M commercial construction project in North Sydney is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the full strip-out and conversion of a 7-storey office block into self-storage units. This is a full-time casual role on a busy professional site.

You will supervise multiple trades, manage daily/weekly schedules, ensure WHS compliance, read drawings, and document progress using Procore.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Site Supervisor.
• Commercial/industrial construction experience required.
• Residential experience is highly regarded.
• Trade background, ideally as a carpenter.
• Certificate IV in Building and Construction and NSW White Card.
• Strong WHS knowledge and SafeWork NSW regulations.
• Experience supervising multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
• Procore experience for site reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate multiple trades, including wet/dry fire, electrical, plumbing, joinery and other subcontractors.
• Plan and manage daily and weekly work schedules.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain project programme and productivity.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and proactively manage site WHS requirements.
• Manage SWMS, site safety procedures and compliance in accordance with SafeWork NSW requirements.
• Conduct weekly site walk-throughs with the client.
• Read, interpret and work from architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
• Identify and resolve construction issues and scheduling bottlenecks.
• Order and manage materials, plant and equipment.
• Maintain accurate site diaries, reports and project documentation using Procore.
• Monitor quality, progress and workmanship across the site.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

Pay basis: $70–$80 per hour + super, depending on experience | Location:North Sydney, NSW|

Skills & experience

• Have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Site Supervisor.
• Demonstrated commercial and/or industrial construction experience.
• Residential construction experience is highly regarded.
• Come from a strong trade background, ideally as a qualified carpenter.
• Hold a Certificate IV in Building and Construction.
• Hold a current NSW White Card.
• Have strong knowledge of WHS requirements and SafeWork NSW regulations.
• Have proven experience supervising and coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Be confident reading and interpreting architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
• Be computer literate with demonstrated experience using Procore for site reporting, drawings and project documentation.
• Have strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Be professional, well presented and confident dealing with clients and subcontractors.
• Be able to take ownership of site operations and keep the project moving safely and efficiently.
