Job summary

Marble is seeking an experienced Site Manager in Sydney to take ownership of high-end commercial joinery installations. You will oversee on-site activities, coordinate installation teams and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a premium standard.

You will report to the Project Director and work closely with the Project Manager to monitor progress, costs and timelines, while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships on projects across Sydney.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager within commercial construction, shopfitting or joinery.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Commitment to WHS compliance and safe-site practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and delivery of commercial joinery projects from site commencement through to completion.
• Coordinate and supervise installation teams, subcontractors and other site personnel.
• Work closely with Project Managers to monitor progress, costs, timelines and project requirements.
• Review site conditions, drawings and project requirements to identify potential issues before they affect delivery.
• Ensure the appropriate tools, materials and resources are available to meet installation commitments.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain quality standards throughout the project.
• Complete and review site reports, progress updates and relevant project documentation.
• Maintain a proactive approach to problem solving and resolving site issues.
• Uphold WHS policies and procedures, including safety inspections and reporting hazards.
• Monitor site risks and elevate safety or delivery concerns promptly.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project procedures, client expectations and agreed timeframes.

Are you an experienced Site Manager with a background in commercial joinery, shopfitting or construction, looking for an opportunity to take ownership of high-end projects?

This is an opportunity to join an established Australian business specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke commercial joinery and furniture. With more than 35 years of industry experience, the business delivers complex commercial interiors across Australia, working closely with builders, architects, designers and project teams.

The Sydney team is looking for a confident, organised, and solutions-focused Site Manager to oversee installation activities, coordinate site teams and subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Director and working closely with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of site activities and the successful delivery of commercial joinery installations.

You will act as the key site representative, ensuring the installation team has the resources and direction required to meet project requirements, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, builders and other trades.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on site, leading people and resolving issues before they impact project delivery.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Site Manager within commercial construction, shopfitting or joinery.
• A strong understanding of building methods, construction processes, and site requirements.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• The ability to identify problems early and implement practical solutions.
• A professional approach to WHS and site safety.
• The confidence to lead and motivate others.

A Certificate IV or higher in Cabinet Making, Joinery or a related construction discipline would be highly regarded, as would experience working with commercial joinery installation.
