Job summary

SEE Group is seeking a Site Engineer to join our Urban Development team in Ipswich, working on subdivision projects across the greater Ipswich region. You’ll be hands-on on active civil sites, coordinating daily activities and subcontractors with close support from Project Managers and Supervisors.

The role requires a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, subdivision or bulk earthworks experience, and a proactive ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering is required.
• Subdivision or bulk earthworks experience is essential.
• Familiarity with QA and cost tracking processes.
• Ability to build strong relationships with supervisors and subcontractors.
• Take ownership and work proactively on site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site activities and subcontractors.
• Manage QA, ITPs and compliance documentation.
• Track costs, variations and progress claims.
• Provide short-term programming input for site work.
• Ensure safety standards are upheld on site.
• Hands-on role on active subdivision projects (roads, drainage, earthworks).

What You’ll Be Doing

You won’t be stuck behind a desk. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and Supervisors to:

• Coordinate daily site activities and subcontractors
• Manage QA, ITPs and compliance documentation
• Track costs, variations and progress claims
• Provide short-term programming input
• Ensure safety standards are upheld
• Solve problems as they arise on active civil sites
• This is a hands‑on role on active subdivision projects — roads, drainage, services, earthworks.

What We’re Looking For

• Hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering
• Have subdivision or bulk earthworks experience
• Understand QA and cost tracking processes
• Can build strong relationships with supervisors and subcontractors
• Take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
