Job summary

SEE Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager for civil infrastructure projects around Ipswich to lead programming, safety coordination, subcontractor management and technical oversight.

The role requires Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and a proven track record in project delivery, with strong leadership and contractual skills. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with a focus on delivering quality infrastructure outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering civil construction projects from planning through delivery.
  • Strong contract management and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate subcontractors.
  • Solid understanding of safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project programmes and construction methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate employees, subcontractors, procurement, and equipment.
  • Lead the project team through activities and scope changes.
  • Coach and develop staff within the department.
  • Oversee monthly forecasts and financial performance of the project.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for all plant, staff and subcontractors.

About the Opportunity

SEE Civil have an opportunity for experienced Project Manager to our busy construction teams working on civil infrastructure projects across the Ipswichregion.This is a full-time opportunity where you will be responsible for managing a road project's programming, safety coordination, subcontractor management and supervision of all technical aspects of the project.

Responsibilities will include
  • Responsible and accountable for the effective programming and construction methodologies of all site works.
  • Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Responsible and accountable for the coordination of employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment required.
  • Lead and support the project team through project activities and any changes to the project scope.
  • Coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff and identify and develop staff within the department.
  • Responsible for monthly assessments and forecasts of project's financial performance.
  • Ensure that plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • Solid demonstrated civil engineering experience including proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a project and maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts, specifications,
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
  • Construction White Card.
