RFI Technology Solutions in Seven Hills, NSW seeks a proactive Site Safety Officer for a short-term contract. The role involves onsite safety inspections, SWMS reviews, risk assessments, and working with project teams to implement corrective actions across sites.

Based out of Seven Hills with travel to project sites, you will support the Senior Safety Advisor and operations, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements and company procedures while delivering practical safety guidance on the ground.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as Site Safety Officer, WHS Advisor or similar in construction.
• Solid knowledge of WHS requirements, SWMS, risk assessments and site safety practices.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and operate across sites and office settings.

Responsabilités

• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits and compliance checks across sites.
• Review SWMS, risk assessments and other safety documents.
• Identify hazards, assess risks and implement corrective actions with site teams.
• Support incident reporting, investigations and follow‑up actions.

Site Safety Officer – Construction | Contract

Location: Seven Hills, NSW & Project Sites | 3–4 Month Contract | Immediate Start

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Site Safety Officer with a construction background to join our team on a short-term contract, supporting our operations and project sites.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out on-site, engaging with operational teams and ensuring work is carried out safely and in accordance with WHS requirements.

Based at our Seven Hills office, the position involves a combination of site visits and office-based safety activities, working closely with our Senior Safety Advisor and operational teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular site safety inspections, audits and compliance checks across operational and project sites

• Reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), risk assessments and other safety documentation

• Identifying hazards, assessing risks and working with site teams to implement corrective actions

• Supporting incident reporting, investigations and follow-up actions

• Ensuring employees and contractors comply with WHS legislation, site safety requirements and company procedures

• Assisting with toolbox talks, safety inductions and ongoing safety awareness initiatives

• Maintaining accurate WHS records, inspection reports and relevant documentation

• Providing practical, on-the-ground safety advice to supervisors, contractors and operational teams

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a Site Safety Officer, WHS Advisor or similar safety role within the construction industry

• A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent relevant qualification

• Sound knowledge of construction WHS requirements, SWMS, risk assessments and site safety practices

• Experience conducting site inspections, identifying hazards and following up corrective actions

• Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with site teams

• A proactive, practical approach to safety with the confidence to address unsafe work practices

• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required

• Experience in telecommunications, infrastructure or engineering projects will be highly regarded

• Availability to commence immediately

This position would suit an experienced Site Safety Officer, Construction Safety Advisor or WHS professional looking for a short-term contract with a varied mix of site-based and office-based responsibilities.
