Job summary

Seymour Whyte is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to support the implementation and ongoing management of site safety systems across civil projects in regional Victoria. You will assist with site inspections, PPE checks and maintain safety documentation to ensure compliance.

The successful applicant will hold a Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety, have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, strong communication and organisational skills, and hold a current Driver’s Licence

Qualifications

• Hold Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
• 3+ years’ experience in similar role within civil or construction.
• Excellent communication and organisation.
• Driver’s Licence and own transport required.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of site safety systems and documentation.
• Assist with routine site inspections, audits and PPE checks.
• Record findings and help track corrective actions to completion.
• Help investigate incidents and near misses, including preparing reports.
• Maintain safety registers, training records and compliance documentation.
