Job summary

Downer is seeking a Site Project Manager to oversee multiple projects across design, tender, construction, handover, and close-out. You will monitor programs, budgets, cash flow, and risks while ensuring contract obligations are met.

You will collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants and internal teams, conducting site inspections to oversee safety, quality and compliance. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Construction Management, Property Development or Architecture, or equivalent trade qualification.
• Extensive experience in construction and development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across time, cost, quality and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of building contracts, design standards, Building Codes, legislation, WHS and regulatory compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of SAP, InEight or Primavera P6 advantageous.

Job description

We currently have anopportunity for a Site Project Manager. Join our Government and Integrated Facilities Management team and play a key role in managing new build and refurbishment projects across a Downer client contract. Reporting to the Regional Projects Manager, you’ll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Manage multiple projects across design, tender, construction, handover and close-out.
• Monitor project programs, budgets, cash flow, risks and contractual obligations.
• Work collaboratively with clients, contractors, consultants and internal project teams.
• Conduct site inspections and oversee safety, quality, compliance and project progress.
• Manage variations, progress claims, reporting and stakeholder communications.

What You’ll Bring

• A qualification in Construction Management, Property Development or Architecture, or an equivalent trade qualification.
• Extensive experience within the construction and development industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across time, cost, quality and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of building contracts, design standards, Building Codes, legislation, WHS and regulatory compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management, written communication, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of SAP, InEight or Primavera P6 would be advantageous.
