Job summary

Larrakia Development Corporation is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to coordinate daily property maintenance operations across the Greater Darwin Region. This hands-on leadership role focuses on supervising field teams, planning work, and ensuring safety and quality across multiple sites.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will mentor staff, manage rosters, conduct toolbox talks, handle timesheets and reporting, and act as the main client liaison to ensure service delivery meets KPIs

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role or equivalent
Qualifications in Horticulture or Irrigation
MR Licence (or higher)
White Card, OCHRE Card and ability to pass a Fit For Work Assessment including D&A
National Police Clearance

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule and coordinate daily works and staff rosters
Supervise operational teams to deliver quality outcomes
Conduct toolbox talks and pre-start meetings for safety
Coordinate maintenance, servicing and repair of machinery, tools and equipment
Monitor site performance and undertake regular site visits
Act as a key contact for clients regarding service delivery and operational matters
Assist with timesheets, documentation, reporting and administrative requirements
Support achievement of operational KPIs and business objectives
Provide coverage with field teams during peak workloads or staff shortages
