Northern Territory Government - Department of Logistics and Infrastructure in Darwin is seeking an Executive Officer 3 to lead the Housing and Land Servicing portfolio. The role involves strategic leadership over public housing, land servicing programs and major capital investments across urban, regional and remote areas of the Territory.

The successful candidate will oversee governance, risk management, and performance reporting while coordinating with government agencies and community

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading housing, land development, infrastructure programs in complex environments.
• Proven track record managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Understanding of legislative, regulatory and approval processes in housing/land development.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership and communication capabilities.
• Experience working in culturally diverse environments and engaging communities for sustainable outcomes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant senior executive leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, procurement and delivery of public housing and land servicing programs.
• Oversee major capital investment programs including housing construction and land subdivision.
• Manage complex stakeholder relationships across government, land councils, Aboriginal organisations.
• Lead negotiations, approvals and governance to achieve project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, policy, and regulatory requirements while managing risk.
• Provide high-level advice, strategic reporting and executive-level recommendations.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on innovation and service delivery.
