Job summary

City of Darwin seeks a Supervisor City Maintenance to lead the grounds maintenance ward team in Darwin. The role focuses on delivering city maintenance works in line with programs, planning, and ad hoc needs, under the leadership team.

You will guide and mentor leading hands, uphold safety and performance standards, and drive service outcomes within the ward. A strong track record in grounds maintenance management is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Conservation & Land Management/Horticulture or equivalent qualification or industry relevant experience.
• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent supervisory experience (Minimum 4 years).
• General Construction Industry - White Card.
• Possession of a Class C Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a grounds maintenance team and deliver City Maintenance Ward works.
• Plan, coordinate and implement ad hoc and council required projects.
• Provide direction and coaching to leading hands to develop leadership capabilities.
• Maintain records of weekly service audits and quarterly safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies and duty of care.
