Job summary

DCOH in Darwin is seeking a hands-on Site Lead to coordinate construction, maintenance and repair activities, ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes on our projects. You will interpret plans and specifications, manage daily site operations, and mentor on-site teams to meet programme and productivity goals while upholding our safety standards.

Applicants should have proven experience in leading on-site roles, a White Card, a current Australian Driver’s Licence, and relevant licences (LF, Scissor

Qualifications

• Experience in leading on-site construction, maintenance or repair activities.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications and work instructions.
• Proven ability to coordinate labour, materials, tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring on site.
• Good communication with workers, subcontractors and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and provide hands-on support across site works.
• Interpret plans and material requirements to support delivery.
• Coordinate daily site activities and monitor progress for safety and quality.
• Carry out general building tasks including carpentry, steelwork, ceilings, painting and labouring.
• Manage site resources to sustain productivity and minimize downtime.
• Ensure deliveries are received and stored correctly to prevent loss or damage.
• Mentor team members and promote a positive site culture.
