Job description

About the project

We are building a team for the Kwinana Freeway Upgrade, a major transport infrastructure project recently awarded to McConnell Dowell and our Alliance partners. This significant project will help shape the future of Western Australia’s road network and improve connectivity across one of Perth’s key transport corridors.

Delivered through an Alliance model, the project includes complex civil infrastructure works spanning roads, bridges, drainage, rail interfaces and traffic management. Initial workplace location will be in our Perth CBD but shortly you will transition to a dedicated site office based South of the River.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SiteOffice Manager to become a key part of our project team. You’ll play a central role in keeping the site office organised, ensuring our people have the support they need and helping the wider project team operate efficiently.

Working closely with the Project Manager, project leadership team and wider site workforce, you’ll coordinate the day-to-day administration that keeps a major project moving. This is a highly visible role where your organisation, initiative and ability to build strong relationships will make a genuine difference.

This is a full-time, permanent Monday-Friday position. The successful candidate will be based, or willing to commute, to the South of the River area, with the project site office expected to be located around the Cockburn/Kwinana area.

Key responsibilities
  • Coordinate onboarding, inductions and site logistics.
  • Support payroll, timesheets, purchase orders and invoice processing.
  • Maintain site office supplies, PPE, uniforms and general administration.
  • Manage project records, documentation and filing systems.
  • Provide proactive administrative support to the Project Manager and wider site team.

Don't tick all the boxes?

If you don’t meet every requirement but have relevant experience or transferable skills, you may be a great fit for this role or other opportunities within McConnell Dowell.

What will you bring?
  • Previous experience in site administration, project administration or office coordination, ideally within construction, mining or infrastructure.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships across project teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with project or document management systems is advantageous.
What’s in it for you?
  • Join a major new infrastructure project from mobilisation through delivery.
  • Full-time, permanent Monday-Friday position based South of the River.
  • Work alongside an experienced and collaborative project team.
  • Build your experience on a complex Alliance project with genuine career development opportunities.
