Job summary

SHAPE Sydney seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead day-to-day site activity on a major Sydney data centre project. You will coordinate people, programme, quality and safety to ensure smooth mobilisation through handover, working with the Project Manager, clients and subcontractors.

The role is full-time and supports night-shift delivery, requiring strong leadership, buildability knowledge and a practical understanding of commercial fitout delivery in a large urban setting.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ industry experience, including two years in site management within commercial fitout.
• Experience delivering projects valued from $700,000 to $5 million and above.
• Strong knowledge of construction programmes, specifications, drawings and buildability.
• Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Health, Safety and Quality principles.
• A current Construction Industry Card and confidence using project delivery systems and Microsoft applications.
• A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to build positive subcontractor and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site activities in line with safety, quality and delivery systems.
• Establish and maintain a safe site environment, including inductions, inspections and risk controls.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site meetings, programmes, deliveries and daily site activity.
• Review specifications and drawings to support accurate, buildable delivery.
• Maintain clear project records and update progress through our project delivery system.
• Manage quality, defects and close-out activities to support a successful handover.
