Job summary

Randstad is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a new $9M aged care extension in Seymour, VIC. The role runs for 12 months with a $145,000–$165,000 salary plus Superannuation and a Fuel Card.

You will manage the 32-bed build from site establishment through to finish, coordinating trades next to an operational facility, enforcing safety, and ensuring milestones are hit on time and with quality.

Qualifications

• Carpentry trade background and/or construction trade expertise.
• Experience leading site teams on mid-to-large scale builds.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations from setup to handover and defects liability.
• Produce 2–4 week look-aheads and coordinate trades to hit milestones.
• Coordinate deliveries and manage noise, dust and disruptions around residents.
• Enforce safety standards with daily pre-starts and toolbox talks; vet SWMS/JSEAs.
• Oversee structural, finishes and landscaping packages with QA sign-offs.
• Collaborate with PM and Contract Administrator on RFIs, variations and procurement.

#### Site ManagerSeymour, VIC 3660Full Time#### Job descriptionSite Manager | Aged Care Extension ($9M) Location: Seymour, VICSalary: $145,000 - $165,000 + Super + Fuel CardWe are looking for an experienced, hands-on Site Manager to take charge of a new $9M aged care project in Seymour, kicking off in the coming weeks.The project is a 32-bed new build extension directly adjoining an existing, fully operational aged care facility. The scope runs from site establishment and groundworks through to structural, detailed internal fit-out, and a substantial civil/landscaping package (hard paving, link-ways, and gardens).The program is a tight 12 months , so we need someone who knows how to set the pace early, drive subbies hard, and manage the delicate logistics of building next to vulnerable residents.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Leadership: Run the day-to-day site operations from site shed setup through to handover and defects liability.Program Delivery: Manage 2- to 4-week look-aheads, coordinate trades, and ensure milestone dates are hit without cutting corners.Live Environment Management: Liaise directly with the facility operations team to coordinate deliveries, noisy works, service cut-ins, and dust/vibration hoarding to ensure zero disruption to resident care.Safety & Compliance: Enforce site safety, conduct daily pre-starts and toolbox talks, and ensure subcontractor SWMS and JSEAs are vetted and strictly followed.Quality & Packages: Oversee structural works, internal finishes, and the external hard/soft landscaping packages, maintaining thorough ITPs and QA sign-offs throughout.Commercial Support: Work closely with the Project Manager and Contract Administrator on RFIs, site variations, and procurement lead times.Requirements:Proven Track Record: At least 4-5+ years running commercial, health, education, or aged care builds ($5M-$15M range) as the lead Site Manager.Live Site Exposure: Prior experience working adjacent to operational aged care, healthcare, or active school environments is critical.Trade / Qualifications: Carpentry trade background preferred, or a tertiary qualification in Construction Management / Building.Trade Management: A firm, fair approach with local and metro subcontractors-someone who commands respect on site and solves issues before they stall work.Certifications: Current White Card, First Aid (Level 2 minimum), and relevant site supervisor tickets.Location: Based within commutable distance of Seymour (Mitchell Shire, Goulburn Valley, or Northern Suburbs) or willing to travel.What Next?
