Job summary

Concept Commercial Interiors seeks an experienced Site Manager in Melbourne to lead on-site operations from mobilisation through close-out, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and programs to meet the promised practical completion date.

You will be the analytical, solution-focused brain in the field, driving safety, cost control and quality, and you will work with our PM, design team and facilities management to resolve RFIs and deliver spaces that foster collaboration.

Qualifications

• Formal trade qualifications required, plus OH&S and First Aid certification.
• Minimum 8 years' construction experience including time in a site management role.
• Strong safety leadership and onsite professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site operations and enforce Concept's safety standards.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and project schedules to hit the promised completion date.
• Oversee BuildPass and site diaries, ensuring monthly reports are accurate.
• Collaborate with design team through RFIs to align site knowledge with design intent.
• Mentor apprentices and assist with carpentry tasks as required.

Overview of the position:

OurSiteManagers are our onsite leaders. Working alongside our ProjectManagers and office teams, you'll take a project from mobilisation right through to close out, managing subcontractors, suppliers and programs to hit the practical completion date we've promised our client. You'll be our analytical, solution focused brain in the field and the capable pair of hands we depend on. That means runningsiteworks to Concept's standards, driving safety in line with ourSiteSafety Management Plan, keeping a close eye on cost and quality, staying on top of BuildPass, and closing out defects within two weeks. You'll liaise with building and facilities management, capture progress for the PM, manage client access, help our apprentices build their skills safely and work in step with our design team, where the RFI process is simply how site knowledge and design intent meet to get the detail right.

Our expectations of you:

• A minimum of 8 years' construction experience, including time in asitemanagement role.
• Formal trade qualifications (non-negotiable), plus a current OH&S qualification and First Aid certification.
• Meticulous on safety. You see the value of professionalism onsite and off, and you set the standard rather than police it.
• Strong analytical mindset with a solution focused mentality. When you're met with a costing or program challenge mid-project, you work the problem and bring the PM a considered option, not just a headline.
• Genuine leadership and team building ability, with the interpersonal skills to keep subcontractors, clients and our internal teams pulling the same direction.
• Comfortable in the systems. You'll keep BuildPass andsitediaries current so monthly reporting is accurate, and you're proficient across Microsoft Office.
• Happy to pick up the tools and assist with carpentry duties as required to get a project delivered.
