Job summary

Prefab1 is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead on-site delivery of modular and commercial construction projects in Victoria. You will coordinate trades, manage safety, quality, and program progress to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

Reporting to Project Managers, you will be the on-site link between management, subcontractors, suppliers and clients, driving effective collaboration and proactive issue resolution in a fast-growing modular construction

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Site Supervisor, Construction Supervisor or similar.
• Strong experience within commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and services drawings.
• Understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination.
• Knowledge of construction safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

From prefabricated and modular construction through to commercial fitouts and traditional in-situ construction, we manage projects from design and manufacturing through to transport, installation and completion.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor to join our construction team and take ownership of the successful delivery of projects on site.

This is an opportunity for a hands‑on construction professional who can lead people, coordinate trades, maintain high standards and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to a high standard.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Project Managers, Construction and Operations Managers, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of construction activities on site.

You will be the key link between the project management team, subcontractors, trades, suppliers and the client on site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day‑to‑day operations of construction sites.
• Coordinating subcontractors, trades, deliveries, plant and materials.
• Planning and sequencing works to maintain project program and productivity.
• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitoring quality and identifying and resolving issues before they impact the project.
• Conducting daily pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site inductions as required.
• Maintaining site diaries, records, inspections and other project documentation.
• Ensuring SWMS, permits, inspections and other site compliance requirements are implemented and maintained.
• Proactively managing site safety and environmental requirements.
• Identifying potential delays, risks, defects and coordination issues and escalating them promptly.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Drafting and Manufacturing teams to resolve construction issues.
• Coordinating modular deliveries, cranage, installation and associated site activities where applicable.
• Managing site cleanliness, access, security, storage and general presentation.
• Monitoring subcontractor performance, productivity and workmanship.
• Supporting the Project Manager with programming, progress reporting and forecasting.
• Assisting with inspections, testing, commissioning and practical completion.
• Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Representing Prefab1 professionally and maintaining a positive and solutions-focused site culture.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking someone who takes genuine ownership of their projects and understands that great site supervision is about more than simply managing trades.

You will ideally have:

• Demonstrated experience as a Site Supervisor, Construction Supervisor or similar.
• Strong experience within commercial construction.
• The ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and services drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination.
• A sound understanding of construction safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong planning, organisation and time-management skills.
• The confidence to manage subcontractors and hold people accountable.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• The ability to identify problems early and develop practical solutions.
• Experience in the use of Procore and Breadcrumb software beneficial and highly regarded.
• Good computer and documentation skills.
• A current White Card and relevant construction qualifications/licences.
• Experience with modular, prefabricated, off‑site or volumetric construction will be highly regarded.
