Job summary

CPB Contractors is delivering a major data centre project in Melbourne and seeks a Superintendent to lead day-to-day construction activities, coordinate teams, drive performance, and ensure safety, quality and programme delivery.

You will collaborate with project leaders, engineers and subcontractors to turn planning into delivery, manage risks, remove bottlenecks and keep work fronts moving to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Seasoned construction leader with a track record delivering complex projects.

We're looking for a Superintendent to play a key leadership role in delivering a major data centre project that will support the next wave of digital and AI-enabled growth.

This is a large-scale, technically complex project where strong site leadership will be critical to success. You'll be responsible for leading day-to-day construction activities across your area of responsibility, coordinating teams, driving performance and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Working closely with project leaders, engineers and subcontractors, you'll help turn planning into delivery, keeping work fronts moving, solving problems as they arise and creating the conditions for teams to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities

As Superintendent, you'll be a visible leader on site, ensuring work is planned, coordinated and delivered safely, productively and to a high standard.

You'll provide leadership to supervisors, engineers and subcontractors, driving daily execution while maintaining a strong focus on programme, quality and safety outcomes. You'll also work closely with the wider project team to identify risks, remove bottlenecks and keep works progressing in line with project objectives.

Success in the role will come from your ability to build strong relationships, make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment and create a culture where people are accountable, engaged and committed to delivering great outcomes.

What You'll Bring

You're an experienced construction leader who knows what it takes to deliver complex projects in demanding environments.

You'll bring a track record of leading site teams on major construction, infrastructure, industrial or data centre projects, with the ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and keep teams aligned to project priorities. You're practical, solutions‑focused and comfortable making decisions that keep work moving while maintaining high standards for safety, quality and performance.

Just as importantly, you're someone people want to work for. You lead from the front, communicate clearly and build strong relationships across all levels of a project.

Experience delivering large‑scale projects, managing self‑perform and subcontractor workforces, and leading teams through demanding construction programmes will be highly regarded. Data centre experience is beneficial but not essential. What matters most is your ability to lead people, drive delivery and create successful project outcomes.
