Job summary

DGL AUSblue is seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Manager to lead our Manufacturing team at Wulkuraka. Reporting to the Operations Manager – AUSblue, you’ll oversee production, safety, quality and efficiency to meet targets.

You’ll coach and develop the team, drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance with ISO standards, and collaborate with planning, warehouse and other stakeholders to deliver on customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence.
• Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in manufacturing or production.
• Experience operating and maintaining production facilities.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement approach.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and hands‑on Site Manager to lead our Manufacturing team in Wulkuraka.

Reporting to the Operations Manager – AUSblue, you’ll be at the heart of our day-to-day operations — leading the production team, keeping things running safely and efficiently, and making sure quality and production targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support the day-to-day activities of the production team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members through ongoing training, performance feedback and skills development.
• Ensure production schedules, quality standards and site KPIs are achieved while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Promote and enforce compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, environmental and quality systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Monitor site operations, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste and optimise plant performance.
• Ensure preventative maintenance, equipment inspections and calibration activities are completed to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, inventory transactions, stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Manage inventory levels, including slow-moving and quarantined stock, to support production requirements and budget targets.
• Ensure all site procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current, with employees appropriately trained and competency assessments completed.
• Investigate and report safety incidents, hazards and near misses, participate in risk assessments, and drive corrective actions to maintain a safe workplace.
• Work collaboratively with Operations, Planning, Warehouse and other internal stakeholders to ensure customer requirements and operational objectives are met.
• Analyse and report on P&L for the site
• Foster a positive team culture by promoting accountability, open communication, continuous improvement and safe work practices.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current Forklift Licence.
