Job summary

Neumann Water is seeking an experienced Site Maintenance Co-Ordinator to oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of maintenance and minor project works at the Gold Coast Desalination Plant.

This autonomous leadership role will see you manage site personnel, coordinate maintenance activities, liaise directly with the client, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or fitter and Turner with 7–10 years post‑trade experience.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams within relevant industries.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience coordinating permits, isolations and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly maintenance activities.
• Supervise a team of mechanical tradespeople and subcontractors.
• Manage work packs, permits, isolations and site documentation.
• Coordinate labour, materials and specialist resources.
• Provide direction to experienced fitters.
• Act as the key day‑to‑day contact between the client and site team.
• Monitor safety, productivity and quality outcomes.
• Manage work order completion, reporting and administrative requirements.
• Support ongoing maintenance improvements and operational performance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Planning and coordinating daily and weekly maintenance activities
• Supervising a team of mechanical tradespeople and subcontractors
• Managing work packs, permits, isolations and site documentation
• Coordinating labour, materials and specialist resources
• Experience to provide credible direction to experienced fitters.
• Acting as the key day-to-day contact between the client and site team
• Monitoring safety, productivity and quality outcomes
• Managing work order completion, reporting and administrative requirements
• Supporting ongoing maintenance improvements and operational performance

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Fitter and Turner – with 7-10 years post trade experience.
• Previous experience supervising maintenance teams within relevant industries
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Experience coordinating permits, isolations and maintenance activities
• The ability to lead tradespeople and contractors in a safety-focused environment
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic maintenance systems
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and other technical documentation including OEM manuals
• Current Australian Driver Licence

Highly Regarded:

• Experience within water treatment, desalination or process plant operations
• Frontline leadership or project management qualifications
• Experience with CMMS and permit management systems
• Confined Space, Working at Heights, First Aid or other relevant certifications
