Job summary

COPE Sensitive Freight in Darwin is seeking a Site Offsider to join our hands-on operations team. You will load and unload trucks safely, sort and stage freight for dispatch, and assist drivers with deliveries across metro and regional areas.

You'll use COPE’s track-and-trace system to scan freight, support the installation of high-value goods, and interact professionally with customers and internal teams. A strong work ethic and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and self‑motivated approach.
• Experience in freight industry or removals preferred but not essential.
• Confident adapting to new systems and technology.
• Good physical fitness with prior manual/physical labour experience.
• Attention to detail with paperwork and consignment notes.
• Truck, forklift, white card or working‑at‑heights licences are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
• Sorting, handling, and staging freight for dispatch and delivery.
• Assist drivers with deliveries across metro and regional areas.
• Scan freight using COPE’s track‑and‑trace system.
• Support drivers with the installation of high‑value goods, including medical, print and IT equipment.
• Interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
