Job summary

Fulton Hogan is hiring a site-based HSEQ Advisor to oversee safety across Western Australia road construction and maintenance projects. This role will require regular site visits and periods away from home as needed.

You will implement the Safety System, lead ICAM investigations, conduct audits, and manage data on injuries and hazards while liaising with site teams and subcontractors to drive safe work practices.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience leading ICAM investigations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
  • Positive, engaging and solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ systems and risk controls.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Safety System is effectively implemented on site.
  • Lead ICAM investigations and QSE audits/inspections.
  • Conduct plant inspections, inductions, risk assessments, and SWMS reviews.
  • Collect and analyse data on injuries, hazards, incidents, near misses.
  • Liaise with project personnel and subcontractors on safety matters.
  • Prepare monthly safety reports and implement regulatory changes.
  • Lead safety training and assist with roadworks traffic management.

We're looking for a site based HSEQ Advisor to join our Perth Infrastructure Services team. You'll be responsible for overseeing a broad range of road construction and maintenance activities across Western Australia. This role will require frequent travel to site(s) and may involve periods of working away from home.

  • Ensure our Safety System is effectively implemented on site.
  • Conduct/Lead ICAM investigations and prepare/conduct QSE audits and inspections.
  • Plant inspections, inductions, risk assessments and reviewing SWMS.
  • Collect, analyse and update data for reported injuries, hazards, incidents and near misses.
  • Liaise with project personnel and subcontractors to discuss issues and or incidents and corrective action.
  • Complete monthly reports and statistics and review/and implement legislative and regulatory changes.
  • Lead relevant safety training and assist in the management of injuries to achieve the best outcomes Together with advice/assistance on Roadworks Traffic Management.

Proven experience gained from other top or mid-tier contractors that deliver either construction or engineering maintenance projects with a strong commitment to a Living Safely culture and traffic management.

  • Sound HSEQ systems development, implementation and management experience.
