Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a site-based HSEQ Advisor to oversee a broad range of road construction and maintenance activities across Western Australia. The role requires frequent travel to sites and may involve periods away from home.

You will ensure Safety System effectiveness, conduct ICAM investigations, perform audits, and manage data on injuries and incidents while coordinating with project teams and subcontractors to drive safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or engineering maintenance projects with a strong safety culture.
• Proven ability to lead ICAM investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
• Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Safety System is effectively implemented on site.
• Lead ICAM investigations and prepare/conduct QSE audits and inspections.
• Conduct plant inspections, inductions, risk assessments and SWMS reviews.
• Collect, analyse and update data for injuries, hazards, incidents and near misses.
• Liaise with project personnel and subcontractors on issues and corrective action.
• Complete monthly reports and review regulatory changes.
• Lead safety training and assist in injuries management with Roadworks Traffic Management.

What’s on offer?

We’re looking for a site based HSEQ Advisor to join our Perth Infrastructure Services team. You’ll be responsible for overseeing a broad range of road construction and maintenance activities across Western Australia. This role will require frequent travel to site(s) and may involve periods of working away from home.

In this position you will:

• Ensure our Safety System is effectively implemented on site.

• Conduct/Lead ICAM investigations and prepare/conduct QSE audits and inspections.

• Plant inspections, inductions, risk assessments and reviewing SWMS.

• Collect, analyse and update data for reported injuries, hazards, incidents and near misses.

• Liaise with project personnel and subcontractors to discuss issues and or incidents and corrective action.

• Complete monthly reports and statistics and review/and implement legislative and regulatory changes.

• Lead relevant safety training and assist in the management of injuries to achieve the best outcomes Together with advice/assistance on Roadworks Traffic Management.

How will you connect to the role?

• Proven experience gained from other top or mid-tier contractors that deliver either construction or engineering maintenance projects with a strong commitment to a Living Safely culture and traffic management

• Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, leading of ICAM investigations and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills

• Positive, engaging, and solutions-oriented attitude will let you quickly make an impact and successfully integrate into this close-knit team.

• Sound HSEQ systems development, implementation and management experience.
