Job summary

Engineering Trades Australia is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join the Kanyirri site on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster, commencing 20 September 2026. This temporary/casual opportunity suits a confident safety professional with site-based mining, civil construction or resources experience.

You will provide hands-on health, safety and environmental support, conduct inspections, assist with risk assessments, review JHAs and SWMS, run toolbox talks and maintain HSE records.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and risk management.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Experience supporting incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced site environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HSE advice and support to site personnel.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Support hazard identification and risk assessment activities.
• Review JHAs, SWMS and other safety documentation.
• Facilitate pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.
• Support site inductions and onboarding requirements.
• Promote positive safety behaviours and a strong safety culture.
