Job summary

Indigenous Business Growth (IBG) on behalf of a head contractor seeks a Site Engineer - Roads to support a major transport infrastructure program across South East Queensland, delivering rail, stations and civil works.

You will prepare work packs for earthworks, drainage, pavement, kerb, barrier, signage and lighting; confirm traffic stages, permits, surveys and inspection points; coordinate pavement testing and hold-point releases; measure quantities and maintain diaries and red-lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or construction engineering.
• 2-5 years' site engineering in roads, pavements, drainage or traffic-staged civil works.
• Current construction induction card and valid driver's licence.
• Ability to obtain project-specific rail, site and medical competencies.
• Contractor-side experience with work packs, RFIs, ITPs, subcontractor coordination and progress measurement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pavement testing, levels, layer thickness, compaction and hold-point release.

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Site Engineer - Roads to provide field engineering support for roadworks delivered under staged traffic and access arrangements.
