Job summary

Indigenous Business Growth (IBG) is recruiting a Project Engineer - Roads for a major South East Queensland transport project. You will lead engineering delivery of road, intersection and access works around existing transport operations, coordinating earthworks, drainage and pavements.

Australian experience is required and relocation packages are on offer. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil, construction or transport engineering and have 5–8 years of contractor experience with

Qualifications

• 5–8 years' contractor experience delivering roads, pavements, drainage and traffic-staged works.
• Current construction induction card and a valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to obtain project-specific rail, site and medical competencies.
• Contractor-side experience with work packs, RFIs, ITPs and subcontractor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadwork staging, temporary traffic arrangements and construction methodologies.
• Coordinate earthworks, drainage, utilities, pavement, kerb, barrier, lighting, signage and line-marking interfaces.
• Lead design reviews, RFIs, survey and pavement-quality planning.
• Manage subcontract procurement, cost, quantities, production and program recovery.
• Coordinate road-opening readiness, inspections, testing, defects and authority acceptance.

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Project Engineer - Roads to lead engineering delivery of road, intersection and access works around existing transport operations.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in civil, construction or transport engineering
• 5-8 years' contractor experience delivering roads, pavements, drainage and traffic-staged works
