JH Civil in Newcastle is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to perform quantity takeoffs, prepare bills of quantities and pricing inputs for tenders and live projects. You will measure work on site and reconcile with design quantities, supporting progress claims and variations.

The role requires reading civil drawings and specifications, experience with estimation software and AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and a valid White Card.

Competenze

• Degree in civil engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in quantity takeoffs and measurement in civil construction.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, long sections, cross sections and specifications.
• Experience with takeoff or estimating software and advanced Excel skills.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work with site crews.
• Current driver's license and ability to work on site.
• Experience on road, paving, drainage or subdivision projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and council or Transport for NSW specifications.
• Experience preparing progress claims and variations.
• White Card and any current civil construction tickets.
