Job summary

GHD is seeking experienced Site Engineers for major transport infrastructure projects in Queensland. The role focuses on contract administration, reporting and coordination across bridges, roads and rail, with exposure to risk and cost forecasting in a dynamic project environment.

You will work with Senior Project Engineers, Inspectors and Clients, ensuring accurate field records and timely progress claims while contributing to the delivery of high-profile projects under GHD's Construction Phase

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• RPEQ or equivalent professional accreditation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with TMR specifications and general conditions of contract.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, high-performing project team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Project Engineers with contract administration, management and reporting.
• Prepare monthly quantity forecasts and estimates with the broader engineering team.
• Support project risk management, including updates to the risk register and forecast costs.
• Assist with monthly reporting to TMR.
• Work with Engineers and Inspectors to verify field records and progress claims.
• Assist with assessment and validation of cost and time claims.
• Coordinate with the Planning Engineer on progress updates and delays.
• Assess monthly progress claims and prepare payment certificates.
• Support audits and reporting across traffic, environment, risk and safety management.
• Maintain contract administration systems and project records.
• Participate in project meetings and issue minutes.
• Build strong client and contractor relations.
• Collaborate to identify and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
• Support the Contract Administration team to meet contractual obligations.
