Job summary

Ertech is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support long-term Transport and Infrastructure construction projects in NSW. The role involves assisting the Project Manager and project team to deliver outcomes, meet contractual requirements, and maximise profitability, with a focus on safety, environment, and quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, 2–5 years in construction, TfNSW roads experience, and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or similar required.
• 2–5 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• TfNSW roads experience is preferred.
• Ability to obtain National Police Clearance.
• White Card – CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned project tasks within the defined scope of work, ensuring alignment with budget, contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Plan and organise resources and tasks for allocated work areas while monitoring site progress and safety compliance.
• Provide technical input on design, construction methods, program changes, and repairs to support project delivery.
• Support procurement activities and coordinate suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify project issues, investigate root causes, and contribute to practical solutions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join our team supporting our long-term Transport and Infrastructure construction scopes in NSW.

The Site Engineer supports the Project Manager and project team in delivering project outcomes, meeting contractual requirements, and maximising project profitability. The role involves carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s values and operational procedures, including adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Carry out assigned project tasks within the defined scope of work, ensuring alignment with budget, contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Plan and organise resources and tasks systematically for allocated work areas while monitoring site progress and ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Assist in providing technical input on design, construction methods, program modifications, and structural repairs to support project delivery.
• Support procurement activities and contribute to the coordination and management of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify project issues, investigate root causes, and contribute to practical solutions while understanding how project components influence overall outcomes.
• Work collaboratively within the team to maintain a safe, inclusive, and compliant work environment, supporting HSEQ standards, team learning, and continuous personal development.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Civil Engineering or similar
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a construction industry
• TfNSW roads experience
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearence
• White Card - CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry
• Valid Driver’s License
