Job summary

Georgiou, in joint venture with Brady Marine and Civil, is delivering the Goondiwindi Levee Restoration Works, a flood resilience project protecting the Macintyre River community. This is a site-based role with DIDO arrangements, accommodation and a project vehicle provided in line with project conditions.

We are seeking a capable Site Engineer to support planning, coordination and delivery of earthworks, drainage and riverbank remediation across the project, reporting to the Project Engineer

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • On-site experience as a Site Engineer or Graduate Engineer within civil construction.
  • Exposure to earthworks, drainage, structures or water infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and survey information.
  • Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and site activities.
  • Current Driver's Licence and White Card.
  • Experience in river remediation, levee works, sheet piling or marine construction is highly regarded.
  • Willingness to work on a site-based DIDO arrangement in Goondiwindi.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day site activities, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Support delivery of earthworks, drainage, sheet piling and civil works packages.
  • Monitor productivity, quantities, costs and programme outcomes.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering, quality and project documentation.
  • Assist with short-term planning, procurement and construction methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with project safety, environmental and quality requirements.

Job description

Georgiou, in joint venture with Brady Marine and Civil, is delivering the Goondiwindi Levee Restoration Works, a major flood resilience project protecting the local community along the Macintyre River. This major flood resilience project involves riverbank remediation, sheet piling, drainage, rock protection and levee strengthening works designed to protect the Goondiwindi community from future flood events.

This is a site-based opportunity with DIDO arrangements, accommodation and a project vehicle provided in line with project conditions.

About the Role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Site Engineer to join our project team delivering the Goondiwindi Levee Restoration Works.

Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of earthworks, drainage, sheet piling and riverbank remediation activities across the project.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating day-to-day site activities, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Supporting the delivery of earthworks, drainage, sheet piling and civil works packages.
  • Monitoring productivity, quantities, costs and programme outcomes.
  • Preparing and maintaining engineering, quality and project documentation.

Your Skills and Experience
