Job summary

Georgiou Group is seeking a motivated Contracts Administrator to join the commercial team supporting The Wave Stage 1 Greenfield Package. You’ll drive commercial outcomes from award through delivery on a major infrastructure project in Queensland.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Contract Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in civil infrastructure
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach to project challenges
• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline is required

Responsibilities

• Subcontract procurement, administration and contract management.
• Assessing, negotiating and managing variations and claims.
• Cost control, forecasting and project reporting.
• Assisting with project commercial strategy and risk management.
• Managing progress claims and payment assessments.
• Building and maintaining relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Supporting delivery of commercial outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Georgiou Group is seeking a motivated Contracts Administrator to join our commercial team supporting the delivery of The Wave Stage 1 Greenfield Package.

Part of the Queensland Government's broader transport infrastructure program, The Wave aims to enhance connectivity between Brisbane and the Gold Coast through major rail and public transport upgrades. Our package will contribute to the delivery of critical infrastructure that will support growing communities and leave a lasting legacy for the region.

This is an opportunity to join a project in its early stages and play a key role in helping drive commercial outcomes from project award through to successful delivery.

About the Role

Working closely with the Commercial Manager(s) and wider project team, you'll play an important role in the commercial management of this major infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities include:

• Subcontract procurement, administration and contract management.

• Assisting with project commercial strategy and risk management.
• Managing progress claims and payment assessments.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Supporting the successful delivery of commercial outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Your Skills and Experience

We're interested in candidates who bring:

• Experience as a Contract Administrator, Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role.
• Experience within civil infrastructure, construction or engineering projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commerce or a related discipline.
