Job summary

NES Fircroft is supporting an EPCI client by sourcing a Commissioning Engineer for a 6-month FIFO role on a Karratha site, 2:1 rotation. You will lead multi-discipline commissioning across mechanical, electrical, piping, controls, and process systems, with emphasis on safety and technical excellence.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in commissioning, including 8+ in construction engineering, and AU working rights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in commissioning, with 8+ in construction engineering.
• Strong background in Australian onshore construction and brownfield projects.
• Experience managing projects in client-operated facilities with permits and safety systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and project management databases.
• AU working rights are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all commissioning activities, ensuring safety and technical standards are met.
• Prepare for commissioning by defining scope, developing strategies, detailed plans, and gathering resources.
• Drive safe working practices by promoting and embodying QHSE awareness throughout the campaign.
• Manage documentation related to commissioning, system handovers, and punch closure.
• Liaise closely with engineering, construction, completions teams, and stakeholders to keep the project on schedule and resolve issues promptly.
• Identify risks and opportunities early, providing reports and recommendations to keep the project on track.
• Oversee the management of completions, system handovers, and interface with client systems.
• Coordinate offshore implementation activities and ensure seamless communication between onshore and offshore teams.
• Contribute to project cost estimates and review technical issues related to start-up and operations.
