Job summary

Airswift is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Supervisor for a 12-month FIFO contract in Pilbara, Western Australia. You will lead electrical testing, energisation and handover on a major iron ore mining project, working with engineering, construction and operations teams to deliver safe, compliant HV/LV system handovers.

The role requires extensive commissioning exposure in heavy industry, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety, with a 2:1 roster and a focus on decarbonisation

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in electrical commissioning, preferably in iron ore or heavy industry.
• Experience in FIFO roles and remote site operations.
• Proven ability to supervise commissioning across HV/LV systems and substations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate commissioning activities with project schedules.
• Lead commissioning electricians, technicians and subcontractors on site.
• Review drawings and procedures to support safe execution.
• Witness, validate and document testing outcomes for compliance.
• Promote safety through toolbox talks and permit-to-work compliance.
• Prepare commissioning dossiers, test records and handover docs.
• Monitor quality and drive timely resolution of defects.
