Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Villawood is seeking a Site Automation Lead to manage plant-wide automation, including PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks. You will oversee upgrades, audits, and capital projects while mentoring trades and ensuring electrical safety.

The role involves collaboration with global CP teams, supporting manufacturing with troubleshooting and continuous improvement, and delivering robust automation solutions for FMCG packaging lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent senior trade with automation experience.
• 5+ years in project management and mechanical engineering.
• Extensive experience with industrial control systems and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages and industrial networks.
• Experience with FMCG process equipment and packaging machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead site automation upgrades and audits, mentor trades staff.
• Program, troubleshoot and maintain site automation systems.
• Champion electrical safety and standards on site.
• Collaborate with Global CP teams on automation standards.
• Manage capital projects from feasibility to execution with documentation.
