Michael Page is recruiting on behalf of a global FMCG manufacturer for an Automation Leader Sydney site. You will own the performance and development of automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics, and networks, driving reliability and continuous improvement.

This hands-on role requires engineering degrees and strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, industrial networks, and projects delivery.

Qualificações

• Degree qualifications in Electrical, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLCs
• Expertise across industrial control systems in an FMCG manufacturing environment
• Experience with industrial communication networks
• Proven experience delivering automation and projects within a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• A practical, hands‑on approach to engineering and operational support

Responsabilidades

Job Description

As the site's automation leader, you will be responsible for the ongoing performance, reliability and development of automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, industrial networks, robotics and automated equipment. You will play a key role in troubleshooting complex issues, delivering continuous improvement initiatives, supporting plant upgrades and leading automation projects from concept through to implementation. This is not a desk-based project engineering role. Success in this position requires a hands‑on approach and a genuine passion for supporting manufacturing operations.
