Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting on behalf of a global FMCG manufacturer for an Automation Leader Sydney site. You will own the performance and development of automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics, and networks, driving reliability and continuous improvement.

This hands-on role requires engineering degrees and strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, industrial networks, and projects delivery.

Qualifications

Degree qualifications in Electrical, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
Strong experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLCs
Expertise across industrial control systems in an FMCG manufacturing environment
Experience with industrial communication networks
Proven experience delivering automation and projects within a manufacturing environment
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
A practical, hands‑on approach to engineering and operational support

Responsibilities

Oversee performance, reliability and development of automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics).
Lead continuous improvement, plant upgrades and automation projects from concept to implementation.
Hands-on role focused on supporting manufacturing operations, not desk-based projects.
