Job summary
Primo Foods is seeking an Automation Specialist to deliver advanced automation engineering and technical support across one of our Wacol sites. You will be responsible for ensuring PLC and SCADA reliability, applying engineering solutions to downtime, and driving automation projects from conception to completion.
Working with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and stakeholders, you will enhance operational efficiency and troubleshoot complex automation issues while maintaining thorough
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in automation engineering, PLC/SCADA support and maintenance in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA; SAP exposure; Rockwell/Ignition platform experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for PLC and SCADA systems across the site.
- Investigate root causes of downtime and develop engineering solutions to improve performance.
- Respond to programming breakdowns and urgent automation issues.
- Plan, execute and close out automation tasks and projects on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Planner on work orders and inspection requirements.
- Maintain and update PLC documentation and control system schematics.
