Job summary

Glencore at the Hail Creek coal mine in Queensland is seeking skilled production operators to run large open-cut haul trucks (CAT 793, Terex 4400) and, for multi-skilled roles, additional machines such as dozers, graders or excavators. Applicants should hold Standard 11, Coal Board Medical and a valid driver’s licence.

Key duties include pre-start checks, maintaining outputs, and upholding a strong safety culture within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating large open-cut production machinery listed above.
• Dump Truck Operators: truck experience required.
• Multi-Skilled Operators: truck experience plus additional machine experience.
• Current Standard 11.
• Current Coal Board Medical.
• Valid Drivers Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing

You will be working as a within a production coal mining environment at Hail Creek, operating production haul trucks including:

• CAT 793
• Terex 4400

As Multi Skilled Operator you will have the above Truck Skill plus one or more of the following:

• Dozers: CAT D10 or D11
• Graders: CAT 16 or CAT 24
• Excavator Liebherr 9600, 5600, O&K 340, CAT 6040, 6015

Additional duties include:

• Completing pre-start checks and following all site safety procedures
• Maintaining production outputs to meet site targets
• Contributing to a strong safety culture
