Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking an Air Traffic Control Simulator Support Officer to assist in delivering realistic ATC simulations for Trainee Controllers. You will support the execution of training scenarios, work with instructors and trainees, and help ensure high-quality training environments.

Extensive training is provided; prior aviation experience is not required, making this role accessible to tech or gaming enthusiasts.

The Role & The Team

As a Simulator Support Officer, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for supporting the delivery of Air Traffic Control simulation exercises used to train and maintain operational capability across Airservices. Working closely with instructors, trainees and operational stakeholders, you will perform simulator pilot and controller functions, create realistic training scenarios and adapt simulations in real time to achieve training objectives.

The team is passionate about delivering high-quality training experiences and takes pride in providing realistic simulation environments that prepare Air Traffic Controllers for operational success.

Extensive training is provided to ensure you are set up for success in this role and while prior aviation industry experience is not required it is valuable.

This role involves working on a rotating 7 day roster to support operational requirements.
