Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking an Air Traffic Control Simulator Support Officer to join a specialist team delivering realistic simulation exercises for trainee controllers. No aviation experience is required as extensive training is provided.

You will collaborate with instructors and trainees, handle simulator operations, and develop training scenarios to meet objectives. A rotating 7-day roster supports operational needs across locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to assess information and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level computer literacy and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Aviation, Air Traffic Control, simulator operations or operational training experience will be highly regarded
• Knowledge of aviation operations and radiotelephony phraseology (desirable not required)

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of Air Traffic Control simulation exercises used to train and maintain operational capability.
• Perform simulator pilot and controller functions and create realistic training scenarios.
• Adapt simulations in real time to achieve training objectives.
