Supporting Independent Living Co-operative Ltd. seeks an experienced House Manager to lead a SIL home supporting two young men with complex needs.

The role combines admin/leadership (24 hours/week) with direct floor support (14 hours/week) in a structured, person-centred environment grounded in active support principles. You will collaborate with families, support staff, and health professionals to ensure goals align with each resident’s NDIS plans, delivering meaningful community participation

Qualificações

• Strong understanding of person-centred care and NDIS participants' diverse needs.
• Strong knowledge of the NDIS and best practice approaches in disability services.
• Sound understanding of health and safety practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven leadership and management abilities.
• Solid organisational skills with ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in office IT applications.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and embed NDIS values in organisational culture and practice.
• Build and maintain consistent good practice across all operations.
• Be actively present in the home environment to lead and develop the support team.
• Oversee and manage daily operations of the house.
• Provide direct support to residents, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Monitor and report on residents' well-being; collaborate with families and healthcare professionals.
• Liaise with family members and work within the SILC family-governed model.
• Manage staff rostering to match worker capabilities with residents' needs and preferences.
• Participate in rotating on-call roster for after-hours guidance.
• Foster a learning culture through debriefing, coaching, and feedback.
• Establish systems to support health and manage risk.
• Apply positive behaviour support principles in behaviour support plans.
