Durri Aboriginal Corporation Medical Service (ACMS) in Kempsey leads the Staying in Community Leaving Violence (SiCLV) program across Kempsey and Nambucca. The Team Leader ensures culturally safe, community-led delivery aligned with NSW DCJ funding, aiming to increase safety, wellbeing, healing, and self-determination for Aboriginal women, children and families affected by DFV.

Formación

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, Human Services, Aboriginal Studies, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team for 5+ years.
• Experience delivering culturally safe services and engaging with communities.
• Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues, especially from an Aboriginal background.
• Experience with DFV frameworks, trauma-informed practice, and strengths-based approaches.
• Experience in planning and implementing community programs and reporting compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Set strategic direction and protocols for the SiCLV program under the Program Manager.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver tailored, professional services.
• Integrate Aboriginal governance, culture, and community-led knowledge into program strategies.
• Increase safety and wellbeing for Aboriginal families affected by DFV and enable them to remain in their community.
• Strengthen integrated responses across justice, housing, health, and community systems.
• Deliver culturally safe, community-designed DFV responses grounded in Aboriginal worldviews.
