Job summary

Catalyst Metals Limited is seeking a Shutdown Planner at our Plutonic Gold Mine in WA. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will develop and coordinate processing plant shutdowns, defining scopes, scheduling, labour, materials, and services.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain and contractors to deliver safe, on-time shutdowns, manage backlogs and costs, and drive continuous improvement in asset reliability. A trade or engineering background is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating shutdowns within mining, mineral processing or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of fixed plant maintenance and shutdown planning principles.
• Proven ability to develop work scopes, resource estimates and detailed shutdown schedules.
• Experience using Pronto or a similar CMMS, along with MS Project or Primavera.
• Strong communication, contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A trade or engineering qualification will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain shutdown scopes, work packs and schedules, ensuring work is clearly defined, prioritised and achievable within shutdown timeframes.
• Coordinate labour, contractors, equipment, materials and specialist services to support successful shutdown execution.
• Liaise with Operations, Maintenance and Supply Chain to manage plant access, isolations, material readiness and return-to-service requirements.
• Review maintenance backlogs, inspection findings and statutory requirements to identify and prioritise shutdown work.
• Support shutdown budgeting, cost control and scope management while communicating risks, milestones and progress to stakeholders.
• Monitor shutdown performance and coordinate post-shutdown reviews, ensuring work completion, close-out activities and continuous improvement initiatives are captured.
